Composer/MD for "Zara: Daughters of Fortune"
In support of my application to be considered as the Composer/MD for "Zara: Daughters of Fortune", I have compiled below some relevant examples of recent work that resonate with the characteristics highlighted in the job description and demonstrate variety of style.
"Waddsdon Imaginarium" - video mapping; orchestral; aural impact
Christmas 2017 I was lead composer and musical director for the Waddesdon Imaginarium - a spectacular video mapping display set to synchronised music. The following sequence is a live video recording of the show version that features my music:
"Singing Our Lives" - community musicians; choral; diversity
For 2 years running I have been the lead composer for the "Singing our Lives" projects - working with amateur choirs and refugee groups to produce new, inter-culural songs that were premiered at the end of Refugee week in 2017 and 2018:

I'm currently in the final stages of a multi-sensory project working with pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties at Mapledown School, North London and will be displaying work produced with them in a sonic installation at Arts Depot, Finchley next weekend (21st/22nd July) as part of "TogetherFest" The 'project in progress' page can be viewed by clicking on the image below:
"News from Nowhere Fellowship Symphony" - community; large-scale; choral
Originally commissioned by Waltham Forest and produced in partnership with The William Morris Gallery, "News from Nowhere" is a large-scale orchestral cantate and suite of instrumentlas that involved over 350 musicians at the premier in the grounds of the Gallery. "Numina" - collaborative; sight-specific; diversity
Concept & design of soundtrack for Zarah Hussain's "Numina" projection installation and lead composer directing a group of 24 student composers in the realisation of the soundtrack. The soundtrack is 'eternally evolving' - here is a 5 minute extract and short documentary about the installation:

Underscore and songs for Pilot teaser of "Myro's Adventures" - a children's TV series under development:
"Revolution 360" - outdoor, site-specific, installation, commuity, collaborative
Installation of 25 retro-fitted gramophones on Barbican Lakeside, part of Sound Unbound 2017. Composition lead & design of this collaborative project involving 24 composers and 25 pieces. The following video presents a stereo version of the main piece, "Revolution 360"
